No Limits Volleyball Club

"A full-on CLUB (sanctioned by the AAU),
and a refreshing, new way of thinking."

The No Limits Volleyball Club is NOT like traditional USAV (RMR) clubs. If you are looking for the traditional "club" experience offered from the so-called "elite" volleyball clubs in the area, then this club is not for you.  This club is an official objection to the way things "have always been done."  Our club players will have a very unique experience designed to cultivate strong volleyball skills, personal growth/fulfillment/happiness, and a life-long love of the game.  We will NOT induce "death by volleyball" in an effort to create the biggest, strongest, fastest volleyball machines out of extremely impressionable youth at the expense of guiding players on a path to a well-adjusted adulthood, a healthy attitude toward sports, and an unwavering commitment to sportsmanship.  Our club coaches must pass rigorous criteria and board approval.  They are all some of the best coaches in the area - every school coach will notice significant growth in player skills after participation in the No Limits Volleyball Club.

Do our club teams travel out of town for volleyball tournaments?
No, they do not.
Traveling to play volleyball causes a significant amount of wasted time AND money that could go to MUCH better causes (such as more study time to raise grades or more family vacations for fun and bonding)!

Do we make our kids play volleyball on Sundays?
No, we do not.
All of the AAU Mile High Tournaments Series tourneys are scheduled on Saturdays!  We do not practice on Saturdays nor Sundays, as we only practice 2 weeknights per week.

Do the AAU Mile High Volleyball Tournaments feature local teams only?
No, they do not.
We expect a very large number of teams from many remote areas in Colorado, as well as the surrounding states.  For our inaugural year (2012-2013), these tournaments featured teams from all over the region, including Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, and South Dakota...and we expect numbers to significantly increase from there in year 2!

Do players or coaches have to referee or keep score at the tourneys?
No, they do not.
We hire professional officials to referee all of our tournament games.  Referees keep track of score, as well.  For this coming season, we will assign line-judging to teams, but that's it!  When you have CVOA professional referees officiate your tournament, it creates a higher level of play all around, consistency throughout the day, and a huge sense of relief among players and coaches that they are not responsible for the stressful calling of games!

Do our players spend more than 5 hours a week practicing/training?
No, they do not.
We believe in a high quality of life.  And, when you are young and impressionable, time at home and with family is paramount.  Young, developing kids should not spend more time with their coaches than their parents!

Do we stalk school volleyball games to heavily recruit the best players out there?
No, we do not.
Our elite high caliber coaching TURNS players into stars, we do not try to make our club look good by finding kids who are already dominant!  We are in this to create good players, not gather the best players around so that we can win at all costs!

Does it cost thousands of dollars to participate in the No Limits Volleyball Club?
No, it does not.
Our pricing for an entire season comes in just over $1,500 per player!

Was our club formed out of some sort of break-up involving another club?
No, it was not.
You cannot say this for very many clubs in this part of town! Nearly all of the clubs down here were formed when management of one club had some form of internal conflict or external infractions with the law.

If you would like to speak with families who participated in our club last year, let us know.  We will put you in touch with them. NEVER join a volleyball club (and give them your hard earned money) without first researching the background of management, the club history and their proven ethical track record thoroughly AND obtaining the opinions of prior customers who are NOT acquainted with you in any way.  You want to be SURE that the very influential mentors of your impressionable children meet the high standards you have set in your diligent efforts to give them the best possible upbringing you can!

"My daughter played volleyball last winter at your club and loved it!   Thank you sooooo much!  My daughter is very happy with Coach Gia!"
—Christen O, Lone Tree

"You two ROCK!!  All of your hard work is the only reason we let our daughter play this game at the club level!  I have heard about other organizations who are not nearly as dedicated to the GIRLS, as you continually show.  Thank you for all you do!"
—Gretchen W, Centennial

"Thank you for all of your hard work in providing an affordable alternative to club volleyball.  My daughter is enjoying her team and her coach.  Our experience has been GREAT!"
—Barbara R, Elizabeth

Tryouts take place through 11/9/13.  All players will be notified via email of their status on or before 11/15/13.  Once notified, players have 48 hours to accept via email response.  Those who do not accept within 48 hours will be removed from the list and the next player in line will receive the offer.  Signed contracts (player agreements) are due within 24 hours of acceptance.  $500 non-refundable deposits are due no later than Monday 11/18/13.  Players missing signed contracts (player agreements) or deposits as of Monday 11/18/13 will be removed from teams.  For a copy of the 2013-2014 No Limits Volleyball Club contract (player agreement) click on the pdf file below.

Specific divisions are finalized as open gyms progress because our mantra is to adapt to what players who come to us need from us most.  Tryouts are late in October, early in November, as we are respecting that families are quite busy during the school volleyball seasons...and signing contracts in July/August just does not seem right (what if you change your mind and/or something comes up?).  The list below will be subject to change based on the number and type of players we meet at all of the open gyms/workshops.  Lead coaches are developing a club-wide system for optimal learning and will be heavily involved in ensuring all players on all teams get the highest quality learning experience and growth as players. Remember, that is OUR MAIN GOAL.  We want our kids to reach their potential under our guidance...and more than 90% of the kids who played club with us last year made their school teams in extremely competitive environments.

Head Coaches:
Chuck Ellis, Kevin Lacy, Scott Nugent, Andrew Whitson, Katie Cohen, Paige O'Connor.

We have other coaches who are extremely high caliber who can take club teams in the age divisions that have the most interest. We also are going to offer another form of club called "League Elite", which will get kids just as many quality touches on the ball! Costs of each program are similar, it's just a matter of which program fits best with each player based on current level of development.

Out of respect for busy families and concurrent school volleyball seasons, tryouts will not take place until 10/28 through 11/9. The entire process of tryouts must be completed prior to sending out any team invitations to players who tryout, as such FINAL club teams will not be announced until mid-November.

All age groups will have two dates for tryouts.  The first date listed for your age group will be the main tryout.  However, for those who cannot make the first date AND for those who want to come back for a second look, there are "second" options for each age group.  All players will have EQUAL chance to make any team, regardless of which tryouts they attend. Please contact us urgently if you abolutely cannot make each slot for your age group.  We want you on the court!

Boys are welcome to come on the nights of their respective age groups. While we do not yet know if we will field any boys teams, we for sure can field coed teams in nearly every division and have the highly educated ability to refer boys to other options if we do not currently have a good fit for them.

In addition to our club option and our extensive youth league, we will be offering an option "in between".  This will be the Competitive League - Elite Package (i.e., the League Elite Option) and includes signing on for a team for the three full youth league sessions (December to May).  It will require a written contract of commitment, 46 practices, 9 AAU tournaments, high-quality game jerseys, and all 54 of the Saturday games.  Using the chart above, you can get a rough estimate of what this Competitive League - Elite Package will cost ($250 + $270 + $15 + $100 + $610 + $250). We are not offering the Competitive League - Elite Package as a lower price option compared to club, we are offering it as a club-like option for any of our great South Metro / No Limits coaches.  The Competitive League - Elite Package does not use the club coaches listed above (who must pass additional criteria), AND it does not involve tryouts.  Using data from the club workshops, Competitive League - Elite Package players are selected by coaches based on how they fit with the overall/existing team infrastructure and core coaching style.  We will have numerous coaches/teams opting for Competitive League - Elite Package this year, so if you'd like to be considered for this new option, come to a workshop and let us know.

What is the Registration "Processing Fee"?

As a Colorado non-profit corporation, No Limits Volleyball has its valued customers actively assist in the mission of providing competitive volleyball to as many young players as possible (regardless of socio-economic situations) by having them cover the small registration processing fees charged by the website and online merchant provider.  This small contribution from the outside makes a dramatic positive impact on the organization’s ability to be successful in its mission.  Thank you for helping No Limits provide a place for all types of players to play the sport they love and enjoy the opportunity to use that positive experience to thrive into successful adulthood!
